The Caves

The Caves are open-air bathrooms designed for Dinosaur Playground in Riverside Park of Upper Manhattan.

Built into the hillside, they act as retaining walls. Uncovered skylights are set at angles that maximize airflow while protecting users from the elements and unwelcome eyes. Inspired by caves forms hollowed into canyon walls by wind and water, these bathrooms emulate natural forms and offer a beautiful place to take care of our natural needs.
